Wooooooo!!! My first post since Hurricane Katrina!! So, I bet all of you ( and by all of you I mean the only person who actually comes to my blog....Eryn) are wondering what exactly I've been up to.....well....here goes....nothing. Yep, that's right, absolutely nothing!!!
Mmmkay now let me starts at the beginning. The Sunday before the hurricane hit we left at 5:00 in the morning. We thought we were coming back home so we only packed a few clothes and items. I brought some of my babies (books..lol) along with me. So, we head out to Hattiesburg, MS. We arrive at around, 8:00 in the morning. Then we watch the news and find out the hurricane is headed straight for Hattiesburg. We weren't very worried and we definitely weren't going to evacuate again.
In the morning we were awoken by a large crash. We all jumped out of bed to find a tree had fallen in my Grandpa's house. Water was leaking from the roof. We stayed in that house a week. It was Terrimable!!! *GASP* Soon we decided we had to get out of Hattiesburg. ( Escape from Hattiesburg...who will make it out alive?! ..LOL) My dad was in VA which is where we decided we needed to go. But...our car was low on gas and the only place open was Sam's Club. We stayed all day waiting for gas. We were right in front of the pumps when they stopped working. There was no way we were giving up our spot, so we stayed overnight in the Wal- Mart parking lot....
In the morning we got our gas then headed out for VA. We drove from around 11:00 in the morning till 5:00 the next morning...18 hours....sometimes it was fun, other times it was harrowing. So, we arrive in Hopewell, VA, and try to find the hotel my dad was staying in. We pulled over at a gas station and tried to ask for directions, but they just turned around and walked away without saying a word!!! I threatened to use my amazing karate moves on them but it didn't work.....wait until they find some coal in there stockings this Christmas...Santa's got my back..lol. We started to drive down this long dark road, and the houses on the side were all dark and abandoned. It was uber creepy. My mom wanted to stop but I told her to keep going until we almost ran over a porcupine or something. We finally got to the hotel and we were there for about 3 weeks. Then we left for Ft. Polk and drove all the way back to LA, ( though this time we didn't drive straight there we stayed overnight in Alabama) We came onto post the night of Hurricane Rita and were without power for a couple of days.
Bleh so there is the whole storymabob. I now go to Leesville High (unfortunately)
Well, I'm using a public computer so I've got to go now...but POST COMMENTS!!! I COMMAND YOU! WOOOOOOOOOO!
